Starterkits are packages of information with everything you need to know to set up Precious Plastic recycling spaces and start tackling the plastic waste problem.
So what I was thinking is Seattle can meet in here. I mean technically it does say "PP PNW", but, like, so does the DM

(this is why I generally advocate for projects to start with completely random identifiers, so the scope can radically change without needing to move any names)(edited)
My usual strategy is "Name it by something where you can remember the origins of the name, but if it's no longer connected to those origins, that doesn't make anything harder to follow"
Yes, I agree. This is the main reason why our group should sit down and talk about vision and values - once we're on the same page there, these decisions should be easier.
Is this a voice channel also? I don't see an option to join voice chat. Maybe just a regular text chat channel that is in a group named "voice channels"?
What does โpnwโ stand for? Who should I contact about starting a regionally based research paper to benefit PP network in Southeast US. Want to ensure Iโm following rules and leveraging as much knowledge as is available.

Has anyone tried to compile a list of / create of community out of the permaculture farms in the PNW? I think the impact of having a PP-adjacent supply chain for circular farming and building is only proving to be more crucial and would love to get my feet wet in such a thing! I'm a native Cascadian in PDX btw.

This may be a nonprofit but it seems it would be more appropriate for it to be a social enterprise. However, the way itโs operated is awe inspiring to me. Not only are you cleaning the environment but itโs having a mass effect of improving the lives of the people in the communities, providing jobs, promoting education, providing careers and housing. The vast majority of the work done is very selfless. I applaud your efforts.
On a side not there should be a separate # just for people who are building houses/buildings of any kind. On that note PET or #1 does not degrade in sunlight. Roofing shingles perhaps or siding?

It is UV resistant but hard to use as a building material because it wonโt pass fire safety codes for a home. Plus the strength of the motors involved on industrial recycling is much tougher than what is required for hdpe.

Stupid auto correct kept saying correcting me to ivy resistant. Yep it is totally resistant to ivy plant growth.
i am not sure as i haven't tried myself and don't have access to precious plastic machines but i've heard people say it melts unevenly and required a very specific temp that the machines can't do

One of the country's most notorious environmental groups says no plastics should be considered recyclable. But our editor says the numbers behind that assertion don't add up.
Hey everyone! Phil here from Bend Oregon. We are finally turning the corner on our upgraded large format V4 sheet press. We can make 6-8 4'x8' sheets per day in the 1/2" and 3/4" thicknesses. We found a furniture designer who is making really cool pieces out of the sheets! It has taken us 3 years to get to this point so keep chugging away and dont give up! Hit us up if you have any questions or want to collab on projects. localplasticbend@gmail.com
