Hello, I am in Lancaster county and have been thinking of starting a PP mixed work space. I have been reading and watching the videos, but would really like to talk to someone in person and see their work space. I work with adults who have different disabilities and want to volunteer places. Since COVID many of the opportunities have disappeared. I think that a PP workshop would be a great way to be productive and also be active in the community. If anyone can meet with me that would be great. Thanks!

There is a small philly group, though unfortunately no machines have been made yet. I know @itsgeorge is currently building a shredder, but it is not complete.

Yes @Evander is right I'm still building the v2/3 shredder. Just finished upgrading power in my little workshop and have 95% of the components, may even start welding the frame tomorrow. What is your thesis about and what is the timeline?

Its going alright. I havent really been shredding like crazy, I hope to do more in the future. Got about 15 lbs of hdpe shredded.

My only immediate problems are that I have to chop up some things beforehand to make it fit into the shredder box. And during the shredding process there is some static electricity which is created causing flakes to stick to the chassis of the shredder (Its properly grounded) creating some mess.

I would also make the blades out of stainless next time. I am getting some rust spots even though all the plastic I put in is dry. Probably from the humidity in the garage.
