Hi everyone, I'm looking in to setting up a shop here in Central Maryland. Ideally I'd like to make a sheet press shop, but it wouldn't make sense if there is no one in the area doing collection and shredding. What kind of community do we have in the mid Atlantic region?
Oh that's perfect, I was worried the area was going to be pretty sparse and would have to build out all the machines. When my space and machines are up you have a customer @Francis
hi everyone and thank you!! please feel free to share this channel using this link https://discord.gg/AEK3tg2 with other like minded precious plastic enthusiasts in your area! also check out this link https://community.preciousplastic.com/map/ for an insight on the people in your area who have added them selves to the "map"
@how.does.make@Francis Hello! I'm currently working with a plastic collection company in Bend OR building a 4x8ft Sheet Press. Collection is truly the key- getting material shredded to decrease volume and finding steady supply of clean, sorted plastics isn't easy. Feel free to reach out with whatever questions you might have. I'll be traveling quite a bit this year and would love to see what yall get going!
@Tom K thanks for the advice. It will be a bit before I can get started, shop space around here is hard to come by affordably and my home shop is too small for a full sheet press. I'll definitely reach out when things start moving.
@Tom K I love to hear that youβre personally promoting V4 in the US! Hopefully we can get a bulk of the work needed to develop a full workshop this semester (now until May), and Iβm sure that the team here would love to put on a good exposition for progress and future development in plastics!

I will bring up later how I will be able to host like minded machine builders like you for an effort to Massivively overhaul how the West coast treats its plastic & ultimately how the country will takescare of its "waste",
I believe I have a few solutions. * &it begins with destroying the idea of single stream recycling.
& beginning to find businesses who would be willing to allocate recycling before the waste leaves the door.
I believe the true revolution begins with us gamers (lol)
Spreading https://thumbs.gfycat.com/PastelAbleBichonfrise-mobile.mp4knowledge lol really;
taking back control of our waste.
It ultimately gives us power over our very own previously ill thought of overlords.
I want to destoy waste mangement. Or atleast give them a run for their money.
We can begin to drastically reduce our waste output through education & collaboration. Collection of plastic begins with ad drives. V4 taught us how we all make a difference.
Id like to take that 10 steps further.
my higher power has put my in an incredible posistion in life and I cannot wait to begin sharing this time in history with all of you.(edited)
Starterkits are packages of information with everything you need to know to set up Precious Plastic recycling spaces and start tackling the plastic waste problem.

Tom I know your message is almost a year old but Iβm staring up a collection point in WI and Iβd love to either pick your brain about the collection process, advice you may have, or even if the plastic collection company in OR would be willing to chat. Thanks!

Greetings! I'm anticipating moving to Baltimore#maryland soon and hoping to implement a Precious Plastics model workshop there. Who is interested in collaborating in the Baltimore metro area?
Obviously @GoUpcycled is already well established in Columbia (https://instagram.com/go_upcycled?igshid=NDk5N2NlZjQ=) and seem to be doing a GREAT job! Would love to learn from and collaborate with them.
I know PP has a newer collaboration page (https://preciousplastic.com/collabs.html), which I'll work through too, but wanted to reach out directly as well.(edited)
