@blastic i think a video would be great, to see how hard is to turn the blades and if it makes any sort of scratching sound to see how bad i its and maybe where it comes from 🙂

In your opinion can I put at work the one i built, given the friction you have witnessed?

the first one looks good, shouldnt be a problem to use this one. The second one looks too tight, i would recommend to disassemble it, check all the blades to make sure there's no imperfections from laser cutting and if there is, clean them and and assemble it again and do not over tighten the bolts

Thankyou! i will go ahead and build a system with the first shredder box. I have a question about the suggested dismantling about the second one: when i do such operation, can i cut trough the final solderings (that are an obstacle to te dismantling operation) with something like a little dremel operated iron cutting disk? or are there better techniques? Thanks for the support, shredder box building and troubleshooting is becoming more and more feasible and understood thanks to your feedback. I will let you know my results about building the shredder machine in a couple of weeks 🙌

oh right, this is the welded version, in that case as you said, you'll need to cut the welds and re weld afterwards, but only once you have the right fit

The first shredder kit is Ok. Little friction is acceptable. Second shredder kit. Very bad. It seems that it’s too tight. Try first to loose the nuts a little bit and check if this will help you. From my experience I can tell that sometimes simple 0,5mm to much in the dimensions and the shredder will be blocked.
