Little update about this project. After the amazing presentation of @Joostie a few weeks ago we decided to post his progress in our new Research module (that's currently still in beta), where you will find the research findings, best practices and design direction for the first design phase.
We wanted to invite you to become a beta tester of the research module and contribute with some comments and suggestions to achieve the best possible design for the community

For the next Sprint we will optimise the Bazar experience and quality - in preparation for an ad campaign to help the Bazar sellers to sell their precious machines, moulds and products!
More specifically this comes with:
Supporting sellers to boost their listings
Creating an email strategy for a smooth flow and to engage better with the users
(And as always, ongoing bug fixing and improving the overall User Interface)
Excited to work with this new team - and amazed by the fact that we manage to find meeting times even though we are literally spread from one corner of the globe to the other!

@Yann and I recently went to Nigeria to do market research for a new recycled plastic brick and production center we're working on. The project is sponsored by the Dutch innovation government agency to encourage locally produced building materials in developing countries. We met with existing brick manufacturers, Nigerian government officials, developers, and more.
This picture is from a visit we did with local school builders in a section of Lagos called Makoko. We were checking a location to see if we could build a small classroom or recreation center as a demonstration building made from the new brick. The next phase of the project starts in 2023, so stay tuned and follow #archived-brick-dev for updates!

️ We managed to inject cups, carabiners and even the socket! We've also been using a great mould made by @Fritz @easymoulds to find the limits of the machine. We will also try this mould with the lever injection machine pretty soon, so that we can compare the results So remember to join #archived-arbor-press-dev to follow the process and see the results!

1 1 We're working hard, in collaboration with Mad Plastic and Johanplasto, to open source the new Arbor Press for the whole community to use. We're working around the clock to release the machine, drawings and video tutorials before the end of 2023!

Long story short: we listened to the feedback of many users that feel there are too many loose conversations across too many channels. That’s how we figured out that it would be beneficial to tide up the Precious Plastic Community talking space to make it better organised and more chat-friendly.
So, what’s new?
From now on, it should be easier to concentrate our discussions in threads thanks to:

ℹ️ What has happened to the old channels?
We've stopped all activity in them. Don’t worry though - they'll be available until 31st of December 2023, so you can save any conversation you need.
