ββοΈSteward
The current steward of this channel is @KatHow it works
1. The steward moderates the discussions, plans and decisions, coordinates tasks to be implemented, and gives updates on the development.
2. @Bazar Contributor contribute by testing and reporting on (new) features and pages, and by bringing up observations and suggestions to help improve the Bazar so that it can best serve the communityβs needs. (If someone has a developer background and is keen to help implement on the backend, that would be amazing, too.)
Rules
Same rules as One Army apply so letβs just be nice and respect each other.
How to join the Bazar team
1. Send a DM to @Kat with who you are and the type of activities you can help with.
Helloouu! Okay, so it was a little bit of a hassle to get the setup right, BUT now I figured it out and MADE A SUCCESSFUL ORDER THROUGH PAYPAL .
Will make instructions how to set it up and then it would be great to have some people set it up and test it before we announce it publicly!
What's the general feeling about Bazar documentation? Currently on Community Platform. I am wondering if it is reaching a point where it might be good for the bazar to have its own in-depth documentation, both for buyers and sellers. Adding Q&A would also help tons. Any feelings about it? Thread them
@Joseph would you be able to share a cost breakdown of Q1 in #archived-bazar-sellers with fees collected and money invested (including @Kat and @Ahmed Loudiyi paychecks)? To involve sellers a bit in the behind the scenes and highlight the importance of fee collection.
Guys just want to say that I am having a lot of fun working on Bazar with you. This thing has been on my plate for 3 years and has not been one of favorites until now !
Just had an idea concerning reviews
We can use the "order status" mechanism and add one that says "ask for review" and have this setup to send an automatic email to buyers asking for a review. Then it's super easy for sellers to ask

Yes, good one. So after shipped, it would be that, and once you got your review you can set it to "complete" (or ideally it does it automatically).
actually I don't think it should be the seller who has to actively ask for it. I think it should be the buyer who sets to "order received" and then automatically gets an a notification to write a review
Do we think reviews have more chances coming from Bazar or directly from sellers? When a platform begs me for reviews I almost never do it.. if a person would ask me maybe I could spare the 5mins..
Hello people! Few pieces of information regarding the Bazar Sprint #2 call tomorrow.

Conversion rate goals
Action plan with tasks and responsibilities
Roadmap and deadlines
See you there
Hey team! Been reworking the messaging system to include the new t&c. As it happen one change lead to another (can't help it) and made a few changes to make the messaging experience a little more trustworthy. Let me know what you think!
One thing I've added out of pure speculation is a "live fee/investment dashboard", the idea would be to have a webpage showing current fees collected vs investments made on the bazar to highlight how no one is getting rich with the fee and hopefully convince people not to leak (edited)
Hi team, is there any quick research I can make that can be helpful for tomorrow's call?
-Does anyone need to know best practices from other marketplaces on specific Trust/UX subjects ?
-Or I was thinking if searching for apps on the cs-cart marketplace for Trust/CRO could be helpful?
-Or if you would just want to have a general introduction on conversion rates? (principals, metrics, methods)
Let me know what could be helpful
@Joseph@Mattia@Kat
I think we might need someone shuffling homepage listing (weekly? bi-weekly?) Very static at the moment not really looking like a marketplace. Would this be something for@Kat ?

@Joseph do you have the conversion rates numbers for mobile and desktop?
I'm also trying to find cart abandonment rates, do you already have them ?(edited)
I worked with these people before for conversion rate optimization, a bit pricy but was very effective for my e-commerce store
Also, they're specialized on landing pages rather than marketplaces, but they master their general principles, and we can book a 45min consultancy call for free to hear their thoughts

Also, FYI:
For the month of April we are sending out invoices to 9 sellers, adding up to a total amount of 682.10β¬ of Bazar fees to be collected.
(7 invoices sent, for two I'm waiting for seller information/confirmation about address and VAT number)
Hi @Ahmed Loudiyi , following up on our discussion regarind what time people most visit the Bazar, here is that data. Looks like between about 2pm and 8pm
8:39 AM
It makes sense because it's when both the EU and USA is awake
just FYI guys I broke something on the Bazar this morning. Trying to get it fixed with the upwork dev - the "add to cart" and "message vendor" buttons are missing for product listings that have no shipping enabled for the buyer location
Joseph
Hi @Kat can you check in with the customer about why Order β#2070 was rejected ?
REVIEW FLOW.
I changed the status to "Awaiting Review" (wording made more sense)
and wrote an email that can at least work for now.
What i don't like is that customers have to (1) click on the order, (2) click on seller to go to the profile, (3) scroll down to leave a review.
And that is now for people who either have patience or know where to actually click.
Very inconvenient process.
Would love to be able to put a "Post review" button (or at least a hyperlinked text) into the email that directly links to the seller profile, or maybe even directly to the page with the text field for the review.
Does anyone here know how to do that in CS-cart? Or would that be dev-topic? or plugin?
FYI
I closed the listings for metal production's account as they haven't been replying to my emails (asking for invoice information) for weeks and didn't pay the bazar fee invoice of March and April.
I also closed BMH Solutions listings a while ago as customers reached out to us saying they didn't hear anything from them for weeks while trying to get news about their paid order. Have made multiple efforts to reach out to Baki (BMH) and push them to update their customers. That situation seems to be solved now, BMH had a very busy time and delayed with a lot of orders, but now seem to get it under control again. Will keep an eye on it and listings closed until customer confirm that it's resolved.
Thought this is information the whole team should know about - also, if you have any similar cases / special relationships with sellers, please let me/the team know, so we are all aware
Forgot to add today in the meeting, in the review email we should also nudge buyers to sign up to the map (that's always been the missing puzzle piece, the thousands of people buying machines and disappearing)(edited)
Heyall made a bunch of changes across the Bazar both desktop and mobile. My god, I bet our conversion on mobile was low would very much appreciate extra pair of eyes checking through the Bazar and sending in CSS bugs/improvements to be implemented.
Ok, so a few bugs I want to give to the devs that I would like to get green light for:
1. Message notification even though no message was written
I tested some more and realised it happens without even sending a message, but by just clicking on "contact seller".
2. Shipping setup
When setting up price for "everywhere else" or a specific region (europe, asia...), it still shows "no shipping to your area.
3. Incomplete orders / Paypal not working
Would like someone to look into those incomplete orders, especially the one from Touba signs where it doesn't get directed to paypal even though its set up (see video)
--> or does anyone have an idea for this?
Also:
4. Precious Plastic India's profile is shown very differently to others: https://bazar.preciousplastic.com/index.php?dispatch=companies.view&company_id=643
And products are not shown. Any idea anyone? (see image attached)
5. Adjust listing for no shipping enabled
Buyers should not be able to see the "add to cart" or "quantity" button if the seller has not enabled shipping to their location
= not started
= posted on upwork
= under construction
= paused
= fixed(edited)
Hey All, Just been looking through the bazar. There are a few items on there that are not really related to recycled plastic (Like metal casting moulds) and some other really random products. Do you think that maybe these products confuse the buyer or make the bazar look messy?
Would it maybe be an idea to include in the terms some guiding principles of products/items that should and shouldn't be on the bazar?(edited)

Yes, that's not so good.
Wondering if we even need a notice about this in the T&C or if it's a pretty clear thing and we can just remove and notify them? But I guess probably it's even better if it's black on white (?)
@Joseph thoughts?

Hello Team
Updates concerning my experiment with the Zoho app to contact visitors.
I've sent approximately 100 messages and received a 10% response rate.
My goal is to send 200 more in the next couple of days (we have 7 days left in the trial period)
My message so far is generic, something like "My name is Ahmed and I'm here to help you navigate your journey in the Bazar, how is your visit going so far? Are you having any difficulties finding what you're looking for?
The breakthrough of early responses is:
-How to do find sellers who ship to my country? (I live in Ghana, Zambia)
-Is there a map to see who produces what and where they ship
-I have a project, and I need assistance to plan and finance it, can you help ?
-I'm looking for a flower pot mold.
-Can you show me images and videos, case studies of machines working together, or a project working with your machine ?
I tried to create a bot to go faster, but my 2 attempts so far have failed, I'm going to try again.
Once I start getting a good number of answers, I'll start declining my questions.
Let me know any suggestions.
@Joseph@Kat@Mattia
Payments is a good one. Having both Stripe & PayPal where possible.
Just a note on shipping. Updating prices for shipping is slow, but also right now prices are going up fast due to the fuel prices. (50% more in 8 weeks) I would maybe point out to sellers to really know their numbers and update these regularly. Don't leave them on a listing and forget about them. Otherwise the smaller items might be sold on a loss/be cancelled.
Also "reduces" . Also we can make refrain more simple.
@Kat here's the full sentence
"Please don't share your contact information with the seller or process the payment off the Bazar. The Bazar keeps a transparent record of the transaction and reduces the risk of fraud".(edited)

Helloo. So, we seem to have a little issue here. I provided FTP access, but it doesn't seem to work for the dev.
He keeps on asking for Cpanel but we don't have that as far as I know. - any idea about this?
@Mattia@Joseph, anyone?

Having the item disappear when OOS I didn't know, so I suspect many others might also not know. I however do use the stock to prevent surges in orders I can't handle (Shredders and Moulds). Although more important on more larger platforms (Ebay). Having the ability to allocate stock for the seller will be helpful as the Bazar gains more and more customers preventing us from getting overwhelmed with orders. That being said I don't use it for the larger items at all due to these being made to order. What I do try to do is adjust my lead times accurately.
In summary I would keep it but tell everyone what happens when you are OOS.
1:48 PM
When I get an OOS alert email. I check the listing, check my projected fabrication of said item and update a listing to a number I can deal with or adjust the processing time.
ok and what would be the process to implement this? I've shuffled the homepage for June but many would need to adjust their shipping, would this fall on your plate @Kat ? @Joseph ?

What if there was a follow up email a number of days / weeks later, which said "Your item has been out of stock for 2 weeks now, so we went ahead and disabled it to make sure the Bazar doesnt get too full! To reactivate your item, its as easy as logging into your account and adding some stock"
(or something along those lines...)
This way ghost products will just fade away, and real sellers who dont re-stock within a timely manor get a nice little call to action. (and once implemented, it wont need any external input)
@Kat the current homepage is my preferred selection for June.. if we could get those sorted with shipping would be great.. AND ye we need a better process(edited)
Hey channel, I am new here. Looking to support the team in further optimising how changes are made to the bazaar with the aims of:
Lowering the risks associated with changes
Improving resilience to context lose events (new developers, broken servers)
Automating manual processes
++ Open to suggestions on other areas of investigation
I've been contributing to the Community Platform since October '21, a software worker based in the Netherlands. AMA!
What hosting package are we currently using? I am looking at https://simtechdev.com/services/servers-infrastructure/cloud-hosting, is that the right one?
Two things it would be good to understand is if we are taking advantage of these items:
1. Staging Environment
2. Daily Backups
Looking on the production server I have found a git repo, appears to be from the folks at simtechdev. Between their last saved change and the current version of the deployed files there have been approximately: 1,857 changed files with 76,820 additions and 30,756 deletions.

Hi @thisislawatts ! Thanks for taking a look at this stuff. Luckily we have @Taylor coming on board to the Bazar team to assist on the tech side .
We are kicking off a new team on the bazar next week , so I think it makes the most to hold off on deciding the best course of action until then so that Taylor can help implement.
But if you need any other information from us to help understand the current state of affairs, please let me know.

Sounds great. I'm not looking to make any changes at this point, happy to defer to @Taylor on best path forward and avoid any double work.
To summarise steps I have taken so far are:
1. Identified daily backup and staging site are available within current hosting package. Suggested next steps, confirm they function as expected.
2. Attempted to create local development environment as alternative to developers working directly on production site. Suggested next steps, support from CS Cart specialist dev to get it up and runnning.
3. Created backup of core application files as of Sunday 12th June in private GitHub repo. Suggested next steps, identify blockers to adopting git flow for deploying changes to staging and production environments.(edited)

Hey Luke! This is awesome stuff. Iβm going to help streamline the process of dealing with freelance developers, as a matter of priority and tighten up access to various bits and pieces - staging and backups are high on the list too! If our current hosting setup allows for daily backups and hosting a staging site on a subdomain, and you already have the logins - then if youβd like to proceed with #1 then that would be a great help!
Iβm not aware offhand the specs of our VPS, do you foresee any issues with it running prod and staging as is?

I haven't got log in details yet for the hosting control panel. I believe that the current hosting package is Basic VPS
https://simtechdev.com/services/servers-infrastructure/vps-hosting
I have limited visibility on the current resource utilisation of the production environment, so not sure at this stage whether we would be able to run a full replica as a staging site. It would also be good to understand the level of isolation available on the staging instance.
Eyyy, was somehow more tricky than expected, but we finally managed to fix the "AWAITING REVIEW" email, so that it links directly to the seller's profile.
Tested in on a purchase of my own seller account as well as from other sellers and it seems to work fine
Can we share this with all Sellers now?
Might be worth a little bulk email to the sellers to let them know about this feature?(edited)

Apologies for the delay getting back to you. Attached is a screengrab showing available storage usage on the VM at the moment, which seems to be a limiting factor.
Otherwise based on the CPU usage I believe there is enough overhead to run a password protected staging instance of the cart.
Some of that disk space is being used by images so a review of this data would be useful to check it's all required, there appears to be a stale media backup file which may be a good candidate for removal.
I couldn't see anything around backups within the control panel so this may need to be activated via a support ticket. Unable to verify if this would be stored separately or consume storage space on the VM
Hey @thisislawatts / @Bazar Contributor - just wanted to notify and apologise, I've been quite knocked out with sickness since last Saturday and we also got some projects that require a good bunch of our team's attention at the moment, so we're quite limited. Hopefully from next week we'll be back to better capacities!(edited)

Thanks for the call today folks, so the two notes I had from today's session:
1. Setup a lightweight backup process to regularly push a copy of code to offsite storage, this would NOT cover database records (eg. customer details) or media files (eg. product imagery).
2. All media images are currently stored on the primary server, this uses up a large amount of disc space and would be better offloaded to a service like S3 which offers more cost effective products.
heya, thanks for today
Action items:
@Sigolene works on a homepage listings plan & strategy
@Sigolene tests the email flow
@Sigolene outlines a simple roadmap for listing optimization + ad campaign + email setup
summarises current emails from Bazar
@Taylor hooks up Bazar to Discord
@Taylor studies the email tool in prep for fridays workshop
@Mattia@Kat@Sigolene@Taylor think up possible email flows to optimize bazar
Bazar team meets on Friday 15th 14.00 CET to brainstorm on email strategy
Much love β€οΈ(edited)

@Mattia makes loom for sigo about homepage content update
@Taylor and @Kat meet to automate invoices
@Mattia and @Sigolene meet regarding ad campaign
@Mattia makes a budget proposal for Promotional Campaign
Did I forget anything?(edited)
This raises a good point - that if this is the OOS behaviour for all products, it's pretty unclear! It should say out of stock at least... not be blank. I'll look deeper.

Also getting this loading page on the vendor side right now.

So the change was just on the customer facing side - the CSS to disable that block doesn't apply to backend it seems... Working on a fix - thanks for flagging that Rory!
For anyone who's been annoyed getting the following "New Thread" emails, only to find no messages from a customer - that problem is fixed! Woohoo! Now you will only get emails when a potential or current customer actually emails you

Just a note - I've disabled the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor on CS-Cart in order to enable custom javascript (That's the official CS-Cart recomendation -> https://docs.cs-cart.com/latest/user_guide/look_and_feel/changing_attributes/add_custom_js_code.html
If anyone gets stuck and needs it - please let me know and I can turn it back on and see if it breaks the script, but good chance it's not needed anyway

hey team ( @Taylor ) still need another few days (probably this week) to get klavyo budget approved
We're going through some org adjustments and need to sort them out first. I think we could still work on the email brainstorm and do all the creative/planning heavy lifting first and as soon as we have the account paid we can do all the technical hook ups and go live

Just alerting you to this bug thats been going on for a while. On the vendor end, the shipping information has (not always but 90% of the time) two street addresses. This is often hard to spot (if you are shipping to a non EU country) and has resulted in many lost parcels (until I realised recently).

As part of an effort to improve product listing quality moving forward - the admin portal now defines a minimum description length and number of photos for new listings! Hopefully this wont be too annoying (Even for custom listings, it shouldn't be too annoying to upload a couple pics of your logo, lunch and cat or something ) and should have a big impact on making sure all listings convert to sales as best as possible!

We are working on having each continent pre-defined as a shipping option as well - Vendor's are welcome to remove them, but it should decrease the work involved to OPT-IN to shipping globally on each new product - without forcing anyone to ship somewhere they'd prefer not to.
I'll update once that's live!

Creating an option without images for custom orders is too complex? I see quite a few customer orders coming through and might be a bit annoying for sellers to source relevant images (not sure I would want to upload cat pics on a big sale) and not just one but 3. But otherwise great job! Great steps forward for the Bazar (edited)
hello! I am curious of the status of the "awaiting review" order status. Did yall decide to use that feature to try to get more reviews?

btw sales are looking great this month so far. As I rule of thumb I am always thinking that the day of the month should more or less equal (in thousands) the amount of sales so far. We are on the 9th day of the month and the sales are 11K, so above 1k per day
Also conversion rate is .65% so far. Super good !
Only number that is not looking good is the average number of users per month. We used to be consistently near 10k visitors. Now we are down below 8k.
So less people are coming to the bazar, but the percentage that are buying is growing.

It's there and ready to be used - but I think we have to spread the knowledge about the availability to the sellers a bit more.
Was thinking that we could generally write a new update about bug fixes etc.
Hey @Bazar Contributor team!
Ok so klevjo budget is approved, let's jam on a cohesive strategy and plan to get the most out of it. I would proposed the following steps:
1. We jam asynch on this miro board on various email flows for the Bazar. Would be great if each of us finds 30min/1h to sit down with deep quality time and thinks about most impactful and meaningful email flows for customers and sellers (on the miro board there are a couple of boards named Email flows)
https://miro.com/welcomeonboard/TnVsRUxaMEVxdmFaMkpwTnhOajdvZ0JTV0NUaHk3Z3gyV1NodElrY3F4UDdwdWo4VHFBcVdVZlM2aUNVWUNkZnwzMDc0NDU3MzY1NTY3MTQ3MTM2?share_link_id=763121295170
2. We setup a meeting about Klevjo specifically (hopefully by the end of the meeting I can spell it correctly ). I am thinking to invite more stakeholders (some key sellers, joseph, dave, etc..) to get as much inputs as possible and discuss the miro board. Friday 2pm works for everyone?
3. We proceed to create the content, mails and flows on klavjo
How does Sept 1st look like as a deadline for this? Feasible @Taylor@Sigolene@Kat ?
@CitSciWorkshop thanks! @Sigolene is the owner will help you with that ASAP

Just thought on this. Does the bazar experience stronger sales at the beginning and end of a month? From my personal experience I do believe there is a slight payday boost on sales (though don't have any data to prove it?)

you mean it starts strong in the beginning of the month and ends slower? Not fully sure.. this is last month for example, beyond the big sheetpress purchase seems pretty constant throughout the month.. maybe @Joseph has more insights on this

Hello @CitSciWorkshop , apologies for the delayed response.
Have you done step 1 to go onto your filtered view ?
Once you are in your filtered view, you will be able to filter on the column. DM me if you still have challenges.
Hey team, FYI I'll be taking a little trip to Berlin August 22nd to Sept 2nd.
Ideally this is holiday time but of course always available for urgent stuff.
Hey guys,
New error just popped up on the bazar seller side. I get this when trying to update prices using the product overview page. But not when I go to the listing and edit individually.

My items have 3 images and more than 200 characters on the items I am trying to change

I cannot guarantee all listings do, because I often create customs listings with no image or long description for the client to save money on shipping.
hey @Rory - Sustainable Design Studio yes we've implemented this feature to make sure the Bazar provides an improved UX for customers so they don't have to sieve through no image listings or listings without enough information. We hope this would make it for a better conversion rate as a whole which will benefit everyone! Now, we do have the hidden listing issue which we're working on (not having those minimum requirements). In the meanwhile would you mind uploading dummy content for hidden listings?
hey team, so we have this useful integration on slack about bazar traffic performance. I wonder if we think this could be useful being either transferred here on discord or made public for seller to use that information
--- Looking for feedback on purchases in non-euro transactions ---
Hi there Bazar sellers,
I was wondering if you could share with me more about non-euro transactions.
If we take this example, a US buyer buys from a US seller and therefore sets the currency on the Bazar page to dollar.
The price of the listing will therefore be in dollars.
Will the actual transaction be done (a) in dollars ? or (b) in euros where the seller and the buyer might need to pay fees for a transaction in foreign currency ?
Thanks for your insights
@CitSciWorkshop you might be able to help me out

Yes the transaction is still executed in Euro. Currency display is just that. There is even a delay so customers in the past have been charged slightly more or less based on the exchange rate when they approved the purchase vs. when it actually is ledgered by CC providers. Being in the US and having US customers sometimes question if there is another way, i.e. off site, direct billing, sending a check that they can use. Most concerns are generally about exchange rate and the ability of their card to process Euro.
To reduce calls to make we could do a daily recap once a day of all sales on bazar.. something like:
"Today's sales on the Bazar:
-...
-...
"
@Taylor ?
Was trying to create a test seller account under an email where I have a customer account and got the following message : "The username or email you have chosen already exists."
This raised a few questions :
what is the username as this is not a given field? --> can we update the error message to the relevant field in error?
after deleting my buyer account for the admin panel, I was able to create a seller account with this email. This means that one email is connected to one account type right?

Thatβs spot on.
The email address is linked to the ID, so each email can only be assigned to one account.
I think I have a better solution, we can use permissions to hopefully streamline registration, or at minimum make a step in registering a vendor account which asks if they already have a seller account. If they do, it prompts them to log in and upgrade
There was no navigation block in the header I added it back in - no idea how it got removed?! We didnt touch that template yesterday @Sigolene so I dont think it was that - but you never know!
Bazar just crashed again... @Kat are you able to send me the hosting provider login? I'm going to look into the logs and see what's going on - it crashed early this morning (3am my time) - and again now... Maybe coincidence?(edited)

Hey Bazar Team !
I would like to suggest a meeting where we discuss some fundamental questions on the Bazar. I'll start a Miro* board with the 2 main ones I have identified (feel free to add on if needed):
should the Bazar be a selective marketplace (aka select the sellers or continue to accept all)
shipping strategy (encourage sellers to ship worldwide or promote local)
@Mattia@Kat@Taylor -if you want to take part @Joseph or others !
What time would suit you next week (CET time)?
Mon 1οΈβ£ 2pm 2οΈβ£3pm
Tues 3οΈβ£1pm 4οΈβ£3pm
Wed 5οΈβ£1pm 6οΈβ£2pm 7οΈβ£3pm
Thrus 8οΈβ£1pm 9οΈβ£2pm 3pm
(if none of these, οΈβ£ for Friday)
React to the message with what suits you the best !
I'll be with no signal for a few days so will send the invite based on your votes Sunday evening β
Is it possible to apply a filter or an order in the viewing of the listings on the seller profile page ? @Kat or @Taylor I suppose you'll be able to help me out :)(edited)
Thanks @Kat. Yes those pages needed a nice refresh indeed. I wonder how we could build a process whereby the academy does not fall behind the current status of the bazar. Naturally we develop the bazar further but the academy should follow suit otherwise users will get lost with contradicting info.
And yes those 2 shipping page should be 1 indeed.
Yes, I believe it would make more sense to have in 1 and 2 the sections in the same order : machines // moulds // materials // products
What do you think ?
Had a call this evening with a seller to collect his feedback on the Bazar, here are the main points
1/ slow website : when uploading new content or updating current --> is there a way to improve this ? @Taylor ?
2/ limitations of our chat: not practical to share a high level of detail with the buyer, not possible to make a call, etc. -> this seller sells a lot of customized listings.
3/ chat issues: it often happens (on various devices while having good internet) that the chat writes the 1st words that are being typed but doesn't "catch" the end of the typed sentence. They therefore need to type again the end; @Taylor any insight on how to improve this?
4/ payment: they usually work with a payment in 3 times (deposit/balance/shipping-. This is not something doable on the Bazar right ? @Kat
5/ Shipping : challenge to provide in advance the shipping cost as it is very volatile and depends on the package once the machine has been built, although on the Bazar the shipping (can be/) is paid before the machine has been built.
6/ Mould rental: is this current not a section on the Bazar, can this service be sold?
Hello! I have the feeling there is something wrong with card payments - I tried multiple times to buy something from different sellers, using different cards (and one of them definitely worked on the Bazar before!), but I always got these errors.
Can't seem to see any obvious reason. @Taylor any idea?
Hey @Taylor, the system wasn't letting this buyer put his correct postal code when placing his order (message from him below) - it should be 20161 - any thoughts on why?
"for some reason your system kept changing my post code. The correct code is 20161. I changed it several times but now I see the wrong code again on the invoice. It shouldnβt make a difference because there is only one Via Regaldi in Milano but if you are in time to correct it before the package ships it might make things a bit easier."
Alrighty, finally the updated guidelines are online

I'm just finding some remaining little bits where I wrote about getting featured on the homepage (which should be more about generally getting featured), so can adjust that.
Otherwise, would be great if you can have a look through and see if there is something missing / has to be adjusted
NOW we just have to adjust the titles on the sidebar.
See attached how it is currently (as we reused existing pages).
My suggestion would be:
Overview
Set up account
Set up payment
Create listings
Set up shipping
Get featured
How does that sound for you, any other suggestions?

Itβs very likely stripe blocking the crap out of you because they saw you using multiple cards and stuffing transactions to them that would look like fraudulent activity
Thatβs what Iβd assume anyway - as from what I can see itβs still working for other people

I used to see this issue a lot where I used to work, and turned out 9/10 times it was an address saved in the customers account with a typo, and when they would try to update it or type it in the system would change the address back to the one on file. There isnβt any postcode validation active, so it might even be their computer? (chrome / safari trying to auto fill the address for example)

Hey @Taylor the PDF generated for the order β#2509 is really strange, the logo is huge and the listing name & price are not visible in one table. It seems like it might be due to a very large logo size. Could you take a look and let me know how to proceed to avoid this ?

Getting there guys! These items are loaded from CS-Cart into Klaviyo directly Make pulls all items from CS-Cart, aggregates them into a giant JSON file, uploads it to Google Drive, and then Klaviyo imports it automatically and formats it into product blocks!

Look at this crazyness @Sigolene... CS-Cart cant provide the URL of an item via the api (I have no words...)
But I can get the ID, "seo name" and the category path (but only using category ID's - of course.)
4:33 AM
So item 1062's category path is 2/12/37
4:35 AM
Using split and Vlookup I break that path into actual category names and add the / back in
1
4:38 AM
And then I can re-assemble this into the URL and feed it back into Make to push into Klaviyo. All so we can have working buttons that take customers directly to a product.
It's so nuts how complicated such a simple thing can be! And why on earth wouldn't CS-Cart include the url of a product when you request all of the data for it?! Boggles the mind...
VAT in Invoice -- Question from a seller
This seller charges VAT to the customers in some cases. She is asking the following:
When connected on the seller account --> customer order and wish to print the invoice in PDF, you get an invoice where it is listed VAT option activated (1) but there is no data in the TAX column (2).
1) If the VAT option is activated (1), why is there no data in the VAT column (2)?
2) What "feeds" the VAT column (2) ?
3) the total price here is already VAT included
Thanks
Bazar academy visibility
I believe it would make sense to have a link to the Bazar Academy directly on the Bazar.
Would it be possible to add it here under about for example ?
Am I mistaken to believe it is not complicated to set up ?

Is there is a way to do a an excel export of the How to's with URL /title/author...?

Since its warranted I'm going to log this here. Messages in the Bazar are getting cut off during timeout, and typed text isn't saved all the time when you hit enter to send the message, often cutting off large portions of a message.

Yep it's well known! I'm close to having it fixed.
@CitSciWorkshop you'll note the popup of the little spinning "connecting" wheel which happens every so often while typing a message, when this happens it causes the textbox to "lose focus" I fixed it ages ago for the customer end, however fixing it in the backend for Vendor's has proven to be much more difficult! However I'm not far off a solution and I'll make sure to let you know when remedied

Hey Bazar Dev team. The word email is censored. Which I understand why but isn't helpful when I communicate with my customers after their purchase (and already have their email) telling them I will send them an email with tracking and the build guides for their product when the item ships. Can we adjust it so the word "Email" isn't censored and just "@gmail.com" is?

Just checking, are selling services through the bazar still banned? Because I noticed it was in the excel spread sheet you sent out a while back to sellers. But see a lot popping up on the bazar, which are still there? Whats the final word on this?

Bazar & Google Ads
Hi there Bazar sellers,
We haven't updated you here but we are making a test to promote Bazar machines via Google Ads !
The test started mid-Oct and we will run it for 1 month to see if it is worth investing our precious (and limited) resources in google ads.
Here is a short debrief on the number of people who have seen the ads and who clicked. We added later on the data to get conversion so will include this in the next update
We would like to ask for your feedback on what other keywords or headlines we could use. Please respond in the thread. β¨
Thanks for your feedbacks
Hey,
I have a very angry customer due to the fact that when they purchased an item on the PP bazar, and even though the price is clearly marked. They are changed a very different amount by Stripe. Its not the first time but they were expected to pay β¬4732 but were charged β¬4937.69.
Its not the first time this has happened. In my account I have the equivalent of β¬4742.65 from stripe. So where has the money gone?
In this case its about a 4% difference in price for the client. Any chance I can give you their email so you can officially reassure them, because its not like I can refund them the money as I never received it.
Yeah, something in that direction would be the best - if the system recognizes emails, numbers etc. right at the time when they are written (or at least before sending), and then not allow to send it + give information.
Oh but actually, this one is a bit simpler, as I assume you COULD still send the message INCL. the "@" sign? So it's basically just noticing an "@"(and maybe numbers) and then showing that message, right? Our setup is probably not too far away from that as it can already recognize certain infos (after sending).
I remember @Taylor we spoke a bit about this, and also plugins for recognizing numbers/emails - did you happen to get a bit of an idea what it would mean to set this up?
Hello, the last few days the Bazar has been acting a bit funny. It logs me out about every minute, and refuses my credentials at first to log in. citing possible CSRF attack.
Just a little feedback. Love the emails stating what products are featured every month and the level of rotation. It would however be possibly quite good to let us know 30days in advanced. The front page does make quite a difference to sales and rather than having to adapt for a potential spike on a made to order item, we could maybe prepare some stock in advanced for faster dispatch. Just a though but obviously requires you to decide 30 days in advanced too.

We have been having issues with the tracking of users/conversions due to the change of tracking from google analytics which influences directly this...
But you are right, we should add a disclaimer...
